SOAP module

SOAP module

What it does

The SOAP module lets BrynQ call a SOAP web service inside your network. BrynQ tells the Agent which WSDL and service to use and sends the data; the Agent calls the web service and returns its answer.

When to use it

  • An on-premise application offers a SOAP web service (a WSDL) that is not reachable from the internet.

Not for: REST APIs (use the REST module) or SOAP services that BrynQ can reach directly.

Configure it

During installation: select the SOAP module. The WSDL address and the service are set in the interface in BrynQ.

Afterwards: the local admin dashboard > SOAP Service holds default settings:

FieldMeaning
Default WSDL URLThe WSDL address of the web service, for example https://service.local/api?wsdl.
Default Timeout (seconds)Default: 30.
Verify SSLWhether the certificate of the web service is checked.

Troubleshoot it
