The use of dashboards in Qlik Sense is not described in this KB. Information about it is described at
https://help.qlik.com. However, functionality has been added to Qlik via SalureConnect. It is possible to reload dashboards from Qlik Sense or to restore an old version of a dashboard.
For both cases, to start, go to Settings (the cog icon at the top right) > Dashboards > Qlik. You will then see a table like the one below.
Reload
It is possible to reload dashboards from within SalureConnect to include new data as needed. Under the "Qlik Sense Administration" heading, open the "Reload Dashboards" page. This shows all dashboards that the user has permissions to view. Click on "reload" to actually start the reload.
Backup
All apps in Qlik Sense are automatically backed up every 24 hours. These backups are kept for 3 months. If a user accidentally deletes an app or edits it incorrectly and runs out of history, it is possible to restore an earlier version of the app via the backups. To do so, take the following steps:
- Find the app in question to be restored and open it;
- Based on the time, locate the desired backup and click restore;
- The app is restored with all code and visualizations. Note that the data that was loaded into the app is not saved as it can be retrieved again with a simple reload;
- The app can be found in Qlik Sense in the personal work stream.
