Many organizations use the information architecture principle that one data source is leading. In order to realize this principle, an interface has been developed that exchanges data between various applications. For the exchange of data, the middleware product BrynQ is used.
From an information security point of view, it is not always possible to establish a direct link between a Cloud application and an on-premise application. To make this possible, a BrynQ agent (from now on called agent) has been developed. The agent serves as a hub in the communication between the on-premise application and the middleware layer in the cloud. The agent is installed within the customer's domain.
This chapter in the kb describes how to install the agent, how the different endpoints work and what information security measures have been implemented. Based on this document, an IT system administrator can install the agent.
